Operation flashpoint dragon rising

Heya,

Yeah i know that this release is nowhere near as good as previous flashpoint games, and was a little bit of a let down. Call me a weirdo, but i still prefer this to modern warfare. I played that particular game the other day, and was once again left feeling a little underwhelmed by the campaign, and well the multi player element of the game has changed very little over the years.

Flashpoint on the other hand, is a challenge to play in single player, and as far as the multi player maps go, well when it wasn't lagging i had a great time. could've done with more maps to begin with and i wont bring up the sore point of not being able to create your own maps for skirmishes. i have heard that there is already a dlc pack out so that is my next purchase methinks.

At present though, i am stuck on powder trail on hardcore setting, and no matter how hard i try, employing a varying number of tactics, i just cant make it to the end of the level. the furthest i have made it is to the village where the downed air crew are. then when attempting to withdraw my squad and the pilots, that damned gunship obliterated me and my comrades.

Does anybody have any idea whatsoever about how i can defeat this aerial menace, or at least evade it?
